Contact Lena for: Customized programs in Italy and Norway

Biography: Lena ("LAY-nah", she/her) joined CGEE in June 2025. She has been connected to study abroad for most of her life: spending part of her childhood in Salzburg, Austria, studying abroad in Bologna, Italy, and teaching English in Landeck, Austria. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Italian and Mathematics and earned her MA in Cross-Cultural and International Education from Bowling Green State University. After moving back to Minneapolis in 2022, she worked as the Graduate Program Coordinator in the departments of French & Italian and German, Nordic, Slavic & Dutch at the University of Minnesota. She is delighted to have found her way to Augsburg and CGEE and to be involved in such intentional and transformational programming. Lena is passionate about public transportation, women's soccer, and language education (she speaks Italian and German herself). Outside of work, she can be found bouldering, riding her bike, spending time with her two cats, and watching soccer.
