Our highest priority is the health, safety and security of participants on our programs. Please see below for resources and details on the steps we take to ensure all participants’ safety:
CGEE’s Minneapolis staff are always on call for emergencies at + 1 612-817-2830, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
Augsburg Faculty and Staff: Use this form to report incidents that occur on study abroad or study away programs.
Participants on Augsburg CGEE programs are covered under Augsburg University's international travel and health insurance provided through EIIA assists with 24/7 health and travel support. Augsburg University faculty and staff are also covered when engaged in university-related activities (e.g., research, conferences, teaching). CGEE risk management staff and local staff follow best practices in study abroad/away safety precautions. Augsburg CGEE monitors local realities, provides robust orientations upon arrival, and has local staff on-call 24/7 to respond to the needs of our participants.

In accordance with federal law, Augsburg University produces an Annual Security Report. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Augsburg; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
In accordance with Minn. Statutes § 5.41 Augsburg University provides the OHE with required incident data on study abroad student health and safety. The following report includes data provided by Augsburg University and other Minnesota colleges and universities.
