Rebekah graduated from St. Olaf College with a bachelor's in Social Work. She participated in CGEE's Social Work in a Latin American Context program in Cuernavaca, Mexico and the experience gave her a deep appreciation for the transformational possibilities of study abroad and travel. Her education continued while working in Mexico and Central America as she had the opportunity to engage in deep learning with intentional communities, cooperatives, and social justice movements. Most recently, she earned an international master's degree in Adult Education for Social Change through the Erasmus Mundus program in Scotland, Malta, and Estonia. Her dissertation work focused on Pleasure Activism and the role of pleasure in adult education.

Since 2008 she has worked with CGEE in multiple capacities at various locations: first as an International Resident Assistant and then later as the Study Abroad Facilitator with the Central America semester program, as a custom program Trip Leader in Central America and Cuba, as a Program Associate in the Minneapolis office, and, most recently in program development with CGEE’s partners in Europe and the Middle East.
